Walz Construction's fabrication facilities are located at 17 Garfield Street, Gladstone, Queensland, Australia. It consists of 3 workshops of 5,600 square metres and a land content of 25,000 square metres, with the following equipment:

  • 80 tonne hydraulic cropper
  • 5 x LT7 sub-arc equipment Reid auto tank welding system
  • 5 x 40 tonne brake press
  • Rollers - capacity 20mm plate 3000mm wide 2M in diameter
  • CNC oxy profile cutter
  • 2 x forklifts
  • 3 x 6 and 2 x 10 tonne overhead cranes
  • Yard cranes

 

The scope of work undertaken by Walz Construction through its fabrication workshop consists of the following:

  • Structural steel fabrication
  • Pressure piping
  • Pressure vessel
  • Steam separator
  • Storage bins
  • Exhaust stacks
  • Large diameter ducting
  • Chute fabrication
  • General fabrication

The above items have been fabricated for a variety of industries including mining, aluminium smelters, chemical plants, cement plants, ports, marine, alumina plants, pulp & paper and power plants. As well as supplying major industry Walz Construction also supplies to a number of construction and engineering firms.
